Distraction-free writing app: no AI, no sign up, no metrics

PreciousList is a distraction-free writing app: a blank page with no AI, no sign up and no metrics. Free write as a guest and the only thing on screen is what you typed - no suggestions, no likes, no view counts.

A blank page to free write on, and that is all

There is no toolbar to configure, no formatting to choose and no sidebar of anything. You press start and you get a page you can type on, in this tab, without an account.

Nothing interrupts a sentence: no spellcheck underline pulling your eye, no autocorrect rewriting a word behind you, and no popup asking you to upgrade.

No AI: a writing app that does not write for you

Nothing here completes your sentence, suggests a better word or drafts a paragraph for you. Paste is off and autocorrect is off, so the page holds what your hands typed and nothing else.

That is the point of freewriting: to keep going without stopping to edit. A tool that offers a better phrase every few seconds is the opposite of it.

No metrics, and no sign up to start

There are no likes, no followers count on a note, no view counts and no algorithm deciding who sees what. There is nothing to refresh, so there is nothing to keep looking at instead of writing.

There is no sign up either. Press start and you are typing as a guest - no email, no password, no card.

A receipt of how it was typed

Each note keeps a plain record of how it came to be: how long the typing took and how it was corrected along the way. It is not a score and nobody ranks it - it is simply evidence the page was typed rather than generated.

Good for morning pages and timed freewrites

Morning pages, a timed freewrite, a first draft you do not want to edit yet, a journal entry, or a thought you want out of your head before it goes. Plain text, line breaks kept, nothing else to decide.

Questions

Does it use AI?

No. Nothing completes a sentence, suggests a word or drafts anything for you. Paste is off and autocorrect is off, so the page holds only what you typed.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Press start and you are typing as a guest - no email, no password, no card. An account is asked for only when you publish a note under a name or report someone else's.

Are there likes or view counts?

No. There are no likes, no view counts and no algorithm ranking anything. Nothing on the page changes while you write, so there is nothing to check.

Is anything saved to a server?

Not as a guest. Your writing stays in this browser tab and nothing is written to our database. Close the tab and it is gone; sign in and what you typed comes with you.
